Infraero started the works of modernization and replacement of the boarding bridges of the passenger terminal 1 of the International Airport of Manaus/Eduardo Gomes (AM). The investment is BRL 24 million and will ensure more comfort and efficiency in the embarkation and disembarkation operations carried out at the terminal.

The work has an execution period of 240 days and 90 days for final receipt. In addition to the six access bridges that will be replaced in the modernization process, two existing bridges, installed during the airport expansion work in 2014, will receive electrical adjustments to ensure the execution of the same services.

The new bridges have a metal structure with a glass finish and comply with accessibility legislation. “Among the facilities presented by the new acquisitions, we can highlight the supply of air conditioning and electricity to the aircraft from the coupling to the new bridges. This will optimize the operations of the airlines”, guaranteed the coordinator of the work, Sebastião Robson Ferreira da Silva.

According to the airport superintendent, Abibe Ferreira, this improvement will bring more convenience to both passengers and airlines that use Infraero's space at the Manaus terminal. “In addition to the greater convenience offered, we are pleased to invest in a work that will align the Manaus terminal, once again, with the best airports in the world”, pointed out Abibe.
